Join Michael and Carrie as they celebrate love, friendship, and life on planet Earth from end to end of these United States. This wonderful harmony- singing duo will present a wide variety of material – from a taste of traditional southern Appalachian Mountains music to the contemporary ballads of evocative songwriters such as Kate Wolf and David Norris. With singing unaccompanied or backed by Michael’s distinctively brilliant guitar, you will long remember this evening.
Michael and Carrie’s musical style is a blend of their years recording music and spoken narrative in Cherokee, North Carolina, the Appalachian coalfields, and industrial cities from Cincinnati to New England. Their high mountain harmonies meld with Michael Kline’s melodic flat-picking guitar playing and Carrie’s back-up guitar. Their CDs featuring regional history, music and folklife will be on hand. flyer info
